Dr. Torres is practicing orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine and advanced arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Torres graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology. He completed medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA

Following residency, Dr. Torres entered activity duty military service with the United States Air Force. He served as an officer in the 11th Surgical Operations Squadron at Joint Base Andrews in Washington D.C. He completed an overseas tour as a member of a five-person mobile forward surgical team providing support to special forces operations in remote locations. While overseas he also had the opportunity to provide orthopaedic care to many neglected injuries and pediatric deformities in the host nation’s underserved population.

Following his time in the military, Dr. Torres pursued additional subspecialty training in sports medicine at the world renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles, CA. While there, he had the opportunity to learn many advanced techniques in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery for joint preservation and athletic related injuries. He served as assistant team physician to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Galaxy and many local high schools and junior colleges. From the professional athlete to the weekend warrior, Dr. Torres has the experience to get you back to doing whatever it is you love doing.

Now a resident of Los Angeles, Dr. Torres lives with his wife, three young boys and two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. Dr. Torres’ wife is a medical oncologist and Southern California native who conducts breast cancer research at the University of Southern California. Dr. Torres enjoys spending quality time with his family and taking advantage of the many outdoor activities that year-round sun and warmth offer.
